Breastfeeding: Exhibition begins in SP with photos of breastfeeding mothers
Breastfeeding still generates many debates, not only among health professionals and mothers, but also throughout society. Encouraging such a natural act as breastfeeding is still avoided by many and to circumvent these barriers and create a support network, the Breastfeeding exhibition arrives at CPTM Pinheiros station (Line 9-Esmeralda) free of charge and completely open to the public. Curated by photographer Leila Beltrão, the images show real situations of women feeding their babies.
The exhibition is full of special moments – there are 17 color and black and white photos that mark the sweet and natural event that is breastfeeding. To complete the collection, experienced photographers contribute with reproductions about breastfeeding, such as Maria Toscano, Fernanda Sophia, Muriel Xavier, Irmina Walczak, Sávio Freire, Izabel Medeiros, Fabiana Beracochea, Antonio Milena, Jonne Roriz, Cris Augusta, Daniel Ramalho, Vivian Scaggiantte and Luna Andrade.
