Popcorn
It's true! For children, it's much more fun to watch the food preparation happening in a saucepan, where they can see the magic unfolding, rather than using the microwave. Plus, cooking in a saucepan can be just as convenient and tasty!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of butter
3 tablespoons of popcorn kernels
Salt to taste
Cooking instructions:
Heat the butter in a medium saucepan with a lid or in a popcorn popper.
Spread a layer of popcorn kernels in the saucepan and toss them in the butter so that all the kernels are coated with fat.
Try not to let one kernel sit on top of another.
Hold the saucepan by the handle with one hand and the lid with the other, using a kitchen towel or oven mitt. This way, you can move the saucepan around as the kernels pop, gently shaking it without removing it from the heat.
Do not remove the lid until the popping sounds have stopped. Turn off the heat and transfer the popcorn to a bowl.
