Your baby is growing and the time has come to start introducing food. It's an exciting and important stage in your child's development. The GJr Food Introduction Menu. it has been carefully crafted to ensure a smooth and healthy transition to solid foods.
Before you begin, it's critical to remember that every child is unique and may have their own dietary needs and preferences. Therefore, the menu presented here serves as a general guideline, but it is important to adapt it to your baby's individual needs, always consulting your pediatrician.
Week 1:
First days: Offer mashed fruit baby food, such as banana and apple, in a very pasty consistency. Start with small portions and gradually increase.
After a few days, introduce baby food from cooked and mashed vegetables, such as carrots and sweet potatoes.
Offer 1 to 2 tablespoons of each food at a time, increasing as your baby accepts.
Week 2:
Introduce new foods, such as pumpkin and chayote, which are always cooked and mashed.
Add gluten-free cereal porridge, such as rice or oats, prepared with breast milk or infant formula.
Continue offering the fruit and vegetable baby foods introduced earlier.
Week 3:
Introduce green vegetables such as broccoli and spinach, cooked and mashed.
Try cereal porridge mixed with mashed fruit such as apples and pears.
Offer small pieces of soft food, such as sliced bananas or pieces of bread, to encourage chewing.
Week 4:
Introduce white meats, such as chicken and fish, cooked and shredded.
Offer legumes, such as beans and lentils, cooked and mashed.
Continue offering the foods previously introduced, varying the combinations.
From 6 months:
Start introducing iron-rich foods, such as red meat and egg yolks, gradually and under the guidance of your pediatrician.
Offer foods with different textures, such as chunky purees and mashed foods.
Include a greater variety of fruits, vegetables, cereals and proteins, always in appropriate portions for the baby's age.
Remember to carefully watch your baby's reactions to each new food introduced. Be aware of possible allergies or intolerances and talk to your pediatrician if you have any questions or concerns.
