Recipe for Gluten-Free and Vegan Chocolate Donuts
Are you curious to taste this snack? Check out the step-by-step instructions:
Ingredients for the Donuts:
1 tablespoon of golden flaxseed meal
3 tablespoons of water
3/4 cup of gluten-free flour
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup + 3 teaspoons of brown sugar
1/2 cup of Organic Rice and Almond Milk Beverage
3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Ingredients for the Glaze:
3/4 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of Organic Rice and Almond Milk Beverage
1/8 teaspoon of vanilla
Instructions:
Preheat the oven.
Grease the pan.
Prepare the flax gel by whisking together the flaxseed meal and water. Set it aside to thicken.
In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar.
In a small bowl, mix the plant-based milk, melted coconut oil, vanilla, and flax mixture together.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Roll out the dough and cut out 5 cm diameter discs. A good tip is to use a glass. Use a bottle cap to cut out a hole in the middle of each donut.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let the pan cool for a few minutes before removing the donuts.
After removing them, place them on a cooling rack.
Make the glaze:
Place the sugar in a small bowl and add the warm plant-based milk and vanilla. Stir until everything combines into a liquid glaze. Once the donuts are completely cool, dip the tops of each donut into the glaze. Place the donuts back on the rack for the excess glaze to drip off and set.
