Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup of chopped and cooked green beans
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Parsley
  • to taste Oregano
  • to taste Olive oil
  • for greasing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, crack the eggs and beat them well until you have a homogeneous mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste, ensuring that the spices are evenly distributed.

  2. Preheat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan and spread it evenly using a spatula or culinary brush. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the pan to prevent the omelet from sticking.

  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the beaten eggs into the heated pan. They should cover the entire bottom of the pan.

  4. At this point, add the desired ingredients on top of the eggs. You can use grated cheese, chopped ham, diced vegetables (such as tomato, onion, bell pepper), or fresh herbs (such as parsley, chives).

  5. Using a spatula, gently loosen the edges of the omelet as it cooks. This will allow the heat to distribute evenly and prevent the omelet from sticking.

  6. Once the bottom of the omelet is firm and golden, fold it in half with the help of the spatula. This will create the characteristic shape of the omelet.

  7. If you prefer a well-cooked omelet, you can carefully flip it to cook the other side for a few minutes. If you prefer a creamier omelet, just let it cook with only the bottom side cooked.

  8. Remove the omelet from the pan and transfer it to a plate. Let it rest for a few moments before serving, allowing the flavors to settle.

Now you have a delicious omelet ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot with bread, salad, or your preferred side dishes.

Enjoy!
