Exercises to Improve Your Posture at Work

Long hours sitting in front of a computer take a toll on posture, often showing up as back and shoulder pain by the end of the day. A few simple exercises, done right at your desk, help counter that pattern.

Shoulder blade squeezes, where you pull your shoulder blades together for a few seconds, strengthen the often-neglected upper back muscles. Stretching your chest by placing your arm on a doorframe and gently rotating your torso counters the tightness caused by hours hunched over a keyboard. Repeating these movements every hour makes a real difference throughout the day.
