Yam bread


A perfect recipe for afternoon snack or lunchbox!

Gluten-free, lactose-free, and full of flavor, this batata-baroa bread from the incredible Bela Gil has all the ingredients to delight children.

Ingredients 200g of sour cassava starch 300g of sweet cassava starch 1 teaspoon of sea salt 1 tablespoon of oregano, rosemary, or basil Turmeric (optional, for a yellow color) 150ml of olive oil 500g of cooked and mashed batata-baroa 1/3 cup of water

Instructions In a large bowl, mix the sour cassava starch, sweet cassava starch, salt, oregano, turmeric (optional), and olive oil. Add the mashed batata-baroa and gradually add the water. Mix well until you have a homogeneous dough. Shape the dough into desired-sized and shaped loaves. Preheat the oven to 180°C for 10 minutes. Place the loaves on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on your oven. If necessary, after this time, increase the temperature to about 200°C and bake for another 15 minutes to slightly brown the dough.
